🌞 Food Programs from PSD, TSD & Larimer & Weld Food Bank

By Melissa Shrader Editor/Publisher Loveland Macaroni Kid May 17, 2025

Each Summer Thompson school district, Poudre school districts and Larimer Food Bank serve food to kids and families that would otherwise not get much if any food through the summer. Saving hundreds of dollars for families with children 18 and under.

They help feed kids who rely on foodservice all throughout the school year and they make sure that these same kids get food throughout the summer too! Most programs require meals be eaten onsite.

Kids and teens (up to 18) eat free. Parents can eat for minimal cost.

Thompson School District Summer Food Locations

Summer Food 2025 starts June 2nd for open sites! Please see the flyers below for dates, times, and locations for our two open sites this year. Please keep in mind that there are enrolled programs that may also be serving food but are not open to the public. Please check with your specific program for more information.

Please note that kids MUST be present to receive their meal and MUST eat their meal on site as well.

Weld County Summer Food Program

The Summer Feeding program is targeted to children in areas that are at risk for hunger over the summer months. Typically these are children who receive free or reduce priced school meals during the school year but are left without this reliable food source during the summer months. In each area where we seek to establish a feeding site, we partner with members of that community to support and maintain the site. The meals are prepared on site in our commercial kitchen and then safely transported to the feeding sites. All Summer Feeding sites are FREE to children under 18 years old.
